چکیده
We evaluated the effect of replacement corn and soybean meal (SBM) with dried distillers grains solubles (DDGS) in sericea lespedeza (SL; Lespedeza cuneata) alfalfa (Medicago sativa)-based diets on ruminal fermentation bacterial community growing meat goats. Thirty-six male Spanish goats an average body weight 24 ± 1.8 kg were stratified by assigned to four isonitrogenous (crude protein = 17.1 0.1%) isocaloric (3.2 0.09 Mcal/ DM) for 60 d a randomized design 2 × factorial arrangement. The dietary treatments (1) alfalfa-based diet (ALC), (2) + DDGS (ALD; SBM DDGS), (3) SL-based (SLC) (4) SL (SLD; DDGS). slaughtered, rumen contents immediately sampled 16 S rRNA gene sequencing analysis. analysis Similarity (ANOSIM) linear discriminant (LDA) size (LEfSe) respectively used detect microbial shift differentially abundant taxa among treatments. Addition increased (P < 0.05) acetate concentrations both lespedeza-based diets. However, reduced butyrate ammonia nitrogen concentrations, compared ANOSIM results revealed between ALC ALD (R 0.251; P 0.01) SLC SLD 0.289; 0.001). LEfSe that relative abundance 7 taxa, including Ruminococcaceae UCG 002, Succinivibrionaceae Prevotellaceae YAB2003, Lachnospiraceae 010 (LDA > 2; while 38 enriched ALC. Similarly, 31 Ruminococcus YE281, Succinivibrio, ND3007 reduced, 35 SLC. In conclusion, this study showed regardless forage type, inclusion modulates population fibrolytic butyrate-producing bacteria

The objective of this work was to evaluate the inclusion of distillers dried grains with solubles (DDGS) as substitution for soybean meal in Hisex Brown laying hen diets with or without enzyme or vitamin E supplementation on productive performance. A total number of 180 Hisex Brown laying hens at 26 weeks of age were randomly divided into 15 treatment groups in a 5 × 3 factorial design experime...

A study was conducted to test the inclusion rate of corn dried distillers grains with solubles (DDGS) in laying hen diets on egg production (EP) responses for a full production cycle. A total of 288 Bovan Single Comb White Leghorn laying hens were fed diets containing 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, or 25% DDGS from 24 to 46 wk (phase 1) and 47 to 76 wk (phase 2) of age. The diets were formulated to be isoca...

Nine multiparous (250 +/- 6 d in milk) and 3 primiparous (204 +/- 6 d in milk) Holstein cows were utilized in a 3 x 3 Latin square design to evaluate the lactation performance of cows fed a diet containing dried distillers grains plus solubles (DDGS) with either corn silage or alfalfa hay as forage. Cows were fed total mixed diets containing corn silage (CS), 50% corn silage and 50% alfalfa hay...

Distillers dried grains with solubles (DDGS) is produced from the fuel ethanol industry and is available for inclusion in diets fed to swine. During recent years, several research projects have been completed to investigate the feeding value of DDGS. Crude nutrient concentrations, energy and nutrient digestibility values, and effects of including DDGS in diets fed to different categories of swi...

A study was conducted to evaluate the use of constant or increasing levels of Distillers Dried Grains with Solubles (DDGS) in diets for broilers. Diets were formulated for starter (0-14 d), grower (14 to 35 d) and finisher (35 to 42 d) periods to contain 0, 15, or 30% DDGS. Diets were formulated on digestible amino acid basis to meet current U.S. poultry industry nutrient levels and were mainta...
